If you like using keyboard shortcuts to improve your efficiency, these two Excel shortcut keys are not so well known, but can be very useful to format numbers as a percentage or with the pound symbol.
Fomatting keys
First select the cell or cells to be formatted and then do the following:
To format a cell as a percentage do this:
Ctrl, Shift, 5
To format a cell with the currency symbol do this:
Ctrl, Shift, 4
Navigation keys
To move between sheet tabs:
Ctrl, Page Up and Ctrl, Page Down
To move back to cell A1:
Ctrl, Home
To move to the last cell in the range:
Ctrl, End
