Glide’s award-winning team is led by Jane Hames. Our trainers have a wealth of experience in all aspects of IT training and will deliver training that is focused towards attendees’ specific requirements.
Jane Hames specialises in training on Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products. She loves a challenge, especially solving business-specific problems and working together to put businesses’ ideas into practice. As a Microsoft Office User from a creative background, Jane explains software use in a “non-techy” way. Jane very much focuses on the big picture benefits of software use in order to save you time and get more value for your business.
Jane has been involved in the training industry since 1998 as a trainer, training consultant and now business owner. During that time, Jane has worked with clients such as Moore Stephens LLP, Virgin Holidays, Thales, BAE Systems, Towers Watson LLP, Mitsubishi, EDF Energy, Roche Diagnostics, Varian Medical, Tesco Clubcard, NHS, BA Holidays, Police Staff College and many more.
From the outset, Jane quickly realised how much she enjoyed being involved in developing the skills of individuals and teams attending training courses, and the positive effect this had on the organisations those people belong to. She very soon started to train to be an IT trainer and once up and running, the sense of satisfaction gained from the instant feedback during and after training sessions was highly motivating.
Jane Hames is proud to have won a National Natwest Venus Business Award in 2013 as Networker of the Year. Jane was also a finalist in the Worthing and Adur Business Awards 2014 and 2016, the Sussex Digital Awards 2017, and in the Business Woman category of The Woman of The Year Awards in 2012 and 2013.
Frank Hames has a long track record in delivering training and consultancy services both in marketing and IT applications. He spent many years in internal training roles in various industries, all the while building up his technical IT skills. As well as maintaining Glide Training’s own IT systems and heading up our own marketing efforts, Frank is closely involved with our ‘off the menu’ work.
Frank assists our clients in bespoke projects where the customer is looking for something other than a straightforward training programme. This often takes the form of using a software product to deliver a custom application or to facilitate a specific outcome. The end product can be anything from customised Office templates, to a high-level business information reporting and dashboarding suite using an advanced platform such as Power BI.
