This is part of a series of articles designed to help you and your teams to move through the seven stages of change when it comes to AI readiness in the workplace.
Each week we will look at one of the seven stages of the Kubler-Ross change curve (Shock, Denial, Frustration, Depression, Experiment, Decision, Integration) and offer insight and actionable tips.
STAGE 1 – SHOCK
Some of your team members might still be feeling a sense of shock as they consider how rapidly these tools are emerging and what that could mean for the organisation. When people are in shock, clarity is essential.
Here are some things you can do, to ensure that no one is left at this for long:
- Provide your teams with regular updates on the benefits of AI – not just to the organisation, but importantly to THEM as individuals.
- Allow people to ask questions and challenge you – feeling heard and involved really helps to get people on board with change.
- Reassure teams with a clear roadmap that demonstrates the organisation’s AI integration plans.
- For further clarity, publish your organisation’s AI Policy.
In our next article we’ll be taking a detailed look at the Denial stage. In the meantime why not take a look at our free quiz to find out whereabouts on the curve you are at the moment?
